Kid’s Movie Night this Saturday, January 28, at 5 p.m. Children’s Ministry is hosting Kid’s Movie Night! Bring your snacks and a blanket to be comfy and enjoy an evening together.

Chili Cook-off and Cooperative Game Night this Sunday, January 29, 6 p.m. The Chili Cook-off is joining Cooperative Game Night. Everyone is invited to a night of cooperative tabletop games and competitive cooking! Come for a time of good food, fun games and warm fellowship. All proceeds will fund youth mission opportunities. To participate contact Doug Vitro, youth@milwaukiepres.org.

Taizé Worship Service of Meditative Singing Wednesday, February 1 at 7 p.m. Bring a friend and gather in the sanctuary for a quiet candlelight worship service of music, silence & meditation in the style of the Taizé Community in France.

Valentine’s Dinner February 12 @ 6 p.m. Come and enjoy a meal served by the youth, followed by a dessert dash where tables compete to claim the dessert they want. To donate a dessert, contact Doug Vitro by February 10, youth@milwaukiepres.org. All proceeds benefit Youth Missions.

Watch Your Mailboxes for 2016 Giving Statements. These will reflect monetary contributions for the tax year. Thank you for your generosity!

Per Capita Each year, a “per capita” amount is gathered by Presbyterian Church (USA) congregations based on membership numbers. The amount for 2017 is $31.43 for each member. These funds support the work of the church at the national, regional and local levels. It helps the Presbytery of the Cascades provide resources for local congregations like MPC. If you can, provide your own per capita this month and if you can give more, add an additional amount to cover other members. Please note “Per Capita” on your gifts.

Inclement Weather Please do not risk life and limb to come to church! On school days, MPC follows the North Clackamas School District: if schools are closed, church events are cancelled and the office is closed. On weekends, watch for TriMet’s announcements: if roads are bad enough for Milwaukie buses to be on snow routes, church will be cancelled. Check Facebook and email for updates.
