"Acts of Love" is a showcase of different performances depicting various ways we love. Through scenes, poetry, song, dance and scripture, we explore several types of love and how we express it. This show is unique in a way, being an Act of Love itself, as 100% of the profit will be going to Imani Christian Schools in Kenya, Africa. |

 Rancho Fun Run!
Committee Meeting: January 30, 8:30 am
We are so very excited to announce that the annual RCS JOG-A-THON has transformed into the RANCHO FUN-RUN!! All of Rancho really looks forward to this annual, school-wide event and love to run their hearts out. This year we'll be offering a few new surprises to the event that we know families and students alike will enjoy. This is one of our most dynamic events of the year and it can't happen without a team of volunteers. This is a great way to earn your parent hours and have fun along the way. Whether you have just a few hours or more we can always use your help. So, join us for our kick-off meeting on January 30 at 8:30 am at the fountain near the HS/MS building for more information.
 K-12 ACSI Piano Festival
Deadline to Register: February 3
Festival Date: February 28
RCS has registered for the ACSI Piano Festival to be held on Tuesday, February 28, 2017 at Friends Christian School (5151 Lakeview Avenue, Yorba Linda). If you and your child choose to be a part of the ACSI Piano Festival, there is additional information and a form that will need to be completed. For further information, please contact our Piano Festival Coordinator, Mrs. Edall. The student participation fee is $12.00 per student (Payable to ACSI). Due date is February 3, 2017.

 Preschool Parent-Teacher Conferences

This is a great time to spend one-on-one time with your child's teacher. Check with your individual teacher for sign-up times.
 Kindergarten Preview Night
February 8, 6:30 pm
This event is geared towards parents who want to learn more about our Kindergarten program. Our Elementary Principal, Mrs. Cowan, will welcome parents in the Elementary Assembly Room with a brief introduction of what sets our program apart. After the presentation parents will be able to visit the Kindergarten classrooms and meet the teachers. We want to make sure parents have the ability to explore and gain all the information needed to make Rancho their choice for Kindergarten and beyond, so we ask that children not be present. Childcare will be available upon reservation, email admissions@ranchochristian.org.
 Missions Collection Month
February
RCS Preschool will be collecting coins for Imani Christian Schools in Kenya during the month of February. Please encourage your children to bring in their coins. Each class has a goal to raise $200 for Imani.

 Enrichment Session 2 Classes: 1/27 - 3/2
Classes are filling up fast!
RCS Enrichment offers after school class sessions throughout the school year. Session 2 classes run from January 24 - March 2, 2017. These classes last for approximately an hour and include topics such as, French, Dance (Class Full), Video Game Design, My Pencil and Me, Flag Football, Sign Language, Beginning Guitar and Horticulture. Enri chment Arts Class: Beginning Piano
January 30 - February 3, 3:30 pm
Grades 2-5
Each student that enrolls in Beginning Piano will receive his/her own keyboard during each lesson. At the end of the week, the foundation will be set for each new learner to continue their mastery of the piano. Students will walk away with a deeper understanding of the C major scale and 4 chords.  8th Grade Athletic Night
January 30, 6:30 pm
We are very excited to invite all prospective 9th grade athletes and their parents to our Annual 8th Grade Athletic Night on Monday, January 30 at 6:30 pm in the West Campus Chapel. This event is open to all Rancho and non-Rancho families interested in athletics at Rancho Christian High School. All high school head coaches, led by Athletic Director Jake Fey, will be in attendance ready to answer any questions you may have. The night's program will include Rancho's spiritual, character, and competitive vision for athletics, our sports' offerings, college recruiting, and much more. This is the best opportunity to get the most up to date, relevant, and direct information as families plan for not just the next four years, but the possibilities available after high school for Rancho student-athletes.
 Middle School Coding Club

Does your Middle Schooler love to learn how things work? Does he or she like computers, gaming or robots? Rancho is excited to offer a new Middle School Coding Club for just those interests! The Club will meet Thursdays during lunch and Tuesdays after school from 2:30 - 3:30 pm. The Coding Club will primarily be learning Swift, a relatively new and fast growing coding language. Club members will also explore developing simple apps and controlling different devices such as Sphero robots through coding. Students are encouraged to bring their own device with Swift Playgrounds already installed. If students do not have access to an iPad or iPad mini, capable of running this app, the club has a small number of devices for students to share. Questions?  RCC Uprising (MS Youth Group) Lock-In

MS students, you are invited to the Rancho Community Church MS Youth Group "Lock-In" on February 3 (Register online before January 15). This event includes 1.5 hours at Aerosports of Murrieta, transportation, a full meal of your choice at In-N-Out, Video Game truck, Dodgeball, In-Door Night crossing, Glow Stick party, tons of snacks and soda, doughnut breakfast and much more! Cost $40.

Come join us for RCHS’s annual Winter Formal on Saturday, February 11 from 7:00 pm - 10:00 pm in the gym. All high school students are invited to our Old Hollywood themed night for dancing, treats and a Photo Booth. Presale ticket prices are $10 with an ASB card, $15 without (Sold at lunch near the Student Union, February 2-10). Tickets sold at the door are $15 with an ASB card, or $20 without. ASB can accept CASH only no checks. Homeschool students may buy their tickets with Mrs. Patterson in the HS office, but must bring CASH only as well.
