Hi <<First Name>>
Happy New Year. Despite 3 highlights during the last 3 months we will be glad to see the back of 2016, but we remain hopeful for 2017, and we will all carry on regardless.
Welcome to our latest email newsletter, which contains some social media wizardry at top and bottom.
The top allows you to share this with others and the bottom allow you to see what else we are saying, sharing and doing.
Regards

GBE’s reputation is going from strength to strength, having been noticed by 4 awarding bodies.
In the last three months of 2016 GBE received 3 awards and last week we submitted supporting evidence to another, where we had already been nominated.
Wow 4 in 4 months well that cannot last much longer, can it?

|
GBE has grown from 1456 pages in April 2015, when the new website replaced the old, to 1935 pages today and 13,000 updates getting there.
|
|
Green Building Encyclopaedia is at the beginning of a long journey.
We anticipate 30,000 pages now but expect a lot more by the time we get there.
We have started and have created 1935 pages so far.
We will start a crowd fund campaign to get the job done faster.

GBE has developed its own neural network (human brain-like structure) in GBE, all of those pages have been added and they are being listed in Navigation pages; listed and linked in all related and relevant pages, so everything should be found without searching. Navigation is still evolving.
You can still use the search function, top right of every page.

|
GBE hope to start the long awaited Crowd Fund Campaign to build the content more rapidly; we have been thinking about targeting various phases: (In no particular order but Refurbishment needs to come first)

GBE have for a long time been promoting Better Information Management (=BIM). Last year we made a big push to promote GBE Robust Specification, via GBE Solution Provider News email campaign. This year we are running a series on GBE Product Data Collection in order to support the ambitions of Building Information Modeling (BIM). We wish to collect more of the information that is essential for BIM and COBie Product Data Templates to populate the BIM models with essential data for Apps to interrogate. We support BIM4M2’s proposal that high levels of information (LoI) should come before high levels of detail (LoD) i.e. the ‘BInformationM’ attached to low LoD generic models before the expensive high LoD ‘BIModels’.
|
|
BIM Product Data Templates will be developed for all product and system types entering the world of BIM to join with COBie Templates.
Manufacturers need to engage and enable populating them with their product data.
GBE offer GBE PDC Product Data Collection to get that process started.

GBE is beginning to draw the attention of Manufacturers, Suppliers, Inventors, and Installers.
GBE are in negotiations to convert them into more pages on GBE.
In dedicated following editions of the GBE Members Newsletter we will let you know about some of this work.
The first will be LoftZone’s StoreFloor in February.
