Message from the Headteacher

You may have read in the news that from July 2017, Professor Toby Salt is stepping down as Chief Executive Officer of Ormiston Academies Trust to take up the post of Chief Executive Officer of the exam board AQA.

Well done to the U14s rugby team who lost 25-17 to Wymondham College on Monday but played so well. Click below for a full match report from Mr.O'Brien.

Science Technology Finals

Congratulations to Tallulah in Y10 and Mathew in Y9 who represented CNS in The Southern Science and Technology Finals in London recently. They used their ICT, DT, Maths and Science skills to make a working robotics model using different software and LEGO pieces. CNS came 4th out of 16 schools.

Y11 Prom

The Year 11 Prom 2017 will take place on Friday 30th June at Park Farm Country Hotel, Hethersett. Please put the date in your diaries, further details to follow soon.

Important dates coming up

Tuesday 24th: Y11 Football County Cup final match v Wymondham College (away) 1.30pm KO. Return to school approx 5pm.
Thursday 26th: Y9 parents evening, 5.30-7.30pm.
Monday 30th- Friday 3rd Feb: Y12/Y13 End of Semester Exams
Thursday 2nd Feb: Guidance Day 3. Y13 Parents Evening, 5.30-7.30pm
Friday 3rd Feb: Visit from Guildhall musicians

Please note that the Y12/Y13 reflection and revision evening in January has been cancelled.

Friday 3rd Feb, 7pm start. Teams of up to 8. Please buy tickets from the finance office in advance or from a member of the Amnesty Group, adults £3.50, under 18s £2.50. There may be tickets on the door but this is not guaranteed. There is also a raffle.

Free School Meals Information

Students may be entitled to free school meals. If you think this could be the case for your child, please look at the information on the website by following the link below. There is a form attached as well or you can contact the school for more information.

Schoolwear Uniform Centre

As you may already know, the Schoolwear uniform centre is closing down in Norwich.
The full CNS uniform is available from Birds of Dereham and parts of the uniform are available at M&S. There will be more information about uniform suppliers soon on the website.
