Prepare to create your own artwork with “Visible Sounds," Robbie Lynn's one woman show at University of Tennessee in Martin. Hunsinger has set the stage but it is up to you to grab the Wii Remotes and create the beautiful geometric drawings of “ConCentrix.” A single mic stands in front of a black monitor inviting your participation with “FireMic” where you control animation with sound, and her new iteration of the “Arduino Drummer” series uses a floor tom and responds to your movements with flourishes, taps, and now with bright sound responsive colors.
opens January 31 at 5 PM and runs through Feb 11

Sandhill Crane Composition
I received a Puffin Grant to create a composition for oboes and Sandhill Crane recordings! I'm very excited about this project and was able to record some of these wonderful birds stopping over at Jasper Pulaski Park in IN this winter. I plan to collect more audio and video this winter. Inspired by ancient eastern musical traditions of mimicking bird calls, this composition will intertwine eastern and western double reed calls with unaltered bird recordings. I hope to create an interactive video artwork with these materials as well.
Metro Arts Learning Lab Funding Award Recipient!
I am very fortunate have been chosen to receive funds to create temporary public artwork for Nashville neighborhoods this spring! If you know of a wall or good location for public projection art please let me know! This was made possible from my participation in The Learning Lab artist training, supported by the NEA, the Mayor's office and
Nashville's Metro Arts - more on this soon!
