We are called to welcome the stranger, the alien, the immigrant. For we were once strangers in a strange land.
Love Revolution Dinner Club: Wednesdays, 7pm

Diving into identity: Who are you?

We hear the word identity a lot. Identity is a complex and layered concept, one that many people never really have to think about. The rest of the quarter, we are going to dive into conversations about identity. We will talk about race, gender, sexual orientation, immigration status, religion, and other ways we identify, ending in a discussion of intersectionality  This week, we will start where it starts: with the basic (but not so basic) question: who are you?

Come, join the revolution.

Loose chains of injustice/
Be the light of the world

This week we will hear from the prophet Isaiah about what God asks of us -- to lose the chains of injustice, to set the oppressed free and to break every yoke. We will also hear from Jesus in the gospel of Matthew talk about how we are the light of the world and the salt of the earth. We will bring them together and talk about the meeting place between those two concepts, and how we can live out our call.

Movie Night!
