The RECOVER Project's Pancake Breakfast Fundraiser

Join the RECOVER Project for their first Pancake Breakfast Fundraiser.

Operation Prevention Video Challenge

Did you know...
  • Everyday more than 1,000 people are treated in emergency departments for misusing prescription opioids? 
  • 1 in 4 teens report using prescription medication to get high, and most report getting this medication from friends and family?
 
The Operation Prevention Video Challenge is an opportunity for youth to create a short video about the dangers of prescription opioid misuse.
First prize winners will receive a $10,000 scholarship!

Three-Day Addiction Relapse Prevention Model

From Wednesday, March 29th to Friday, March 31st the Connecticut Women's Consortium is hosting a training about Relapse Prevention Counseling (RPC). 

Participants will learn about:
  • Core treatment components 
  • The difference between Relapse Prevention Counseling (RPC) & Relapse Prevention Therapy (RPT)
  • The model treatment plan for Relapse Prevention Counseling 
"Upon completing this training, participants will learn how to prevent relapse by effectively using Relapse Prevention Counseling (RPC) methods to identify and manage the immediate high risk situations."

Physiology of Addiction DVDs

DVD copies of Dr. Ruth Potee's Physiology of Addiction are still available!
 
Dr. Potee's educational video on brain science and addiction has been used at community forums, in classrooms and for staff trainings.
 
The film is also available for free online here.

Franklin County Courthouse Relocation

On Monday, February 6th, the Franklin County Courthouse will be moving to 43 Hope Street in Greenfield. The new Criminal Justice Center will include five court departments, the Law Library, the Registry of Deeds, and the Opioid Task Force.

  • Probate and Family Court
  • District Court
  • Housing Court
  • Juvenile Court
