Ryan Center Open for Business
For the past three weeks, MBA students have enjoyed not only the Ryan Center's new classrooms but also its open study spaces conducive to collaborative group work. While a formal dedication and grand opening is scheduled for April 29, the Providence College community gathered in the Palmisano Atrium on January 24 for the building's soft opening. Some of the building's highlights include:
A State-of-the-Art Finance Lab
The Finance Lab's Bloomberg terminal brings the pace and excitement of real business and macroeconometrics into the classroom. Students gain hands-on experience using the same information and technology relied on by professionals all over the world. The integration of theory with real-world practice provides students with the opportunity to deepen research, enrich classwork, develop analytical skills, and make decisions based on real events and real data. The valuable experience gained through using Bloomberg technology enhances students' ability to compete in the job market.
Atrium and Classroom Space
The building also features 10 classrooms, 6 breakout collaboration rooms, 3 large conference rooms, and an atrium with the capacity to seat 345 people. The atrium, referred to as the Town Square Center, boasts plenty of open seating for collaboration and team projects. Students can also grab a bite to eat from the Eaton Street Café, which offers a deli, grill, Sandella's flatbread pizza, Starbucks coffee, bakery goods, and more seven days a week.

This Can Be You!

The PC MBA offers a tremendous value to all interested students and working professionals. I was able to broaden my professional network among fellow MBA students, faculty, and staff. The flexibility of course offerings, and the wide variety of subject areas, have helped me a great deal to pursue my MBA while also working full-time.
