Becoming a Tier 1 and 2 Contractor

Thursday, February 23rd, 5:30-7:30 pm
Scaling a construction company to a Tier 1 and 2 company requires organization, consistency, and trust-based relationships. Come hear industry experts from JE Dunn, Turner, and Alexander Mechanical share how they recruit, measure performance, and develop long term relationships with their subcontractors. These experts will also share information on how to view and bid on their upcoming  opportunities.
 
The cost to attend the class is $25 per person in advance and $30 at registration. Registration and dinner will be available at 5:00 pm and the seminar will start promptly at 5:30 pm.

Collection Essentials: Understanding Mechanic's Liens

Thursday, March 23rd, 5:30-7:30 pm
Learn how to utilize mechanic's liens as a collection tool in your business. Join us as we articulate the importance of preserving lien and bond rights and the purpose of lien waivers, as well as identify and give examples of problem lien waivers and relevant contract language. Participants will gain a practical understanding of the role that lien and bond rights play in the construction process, become more proficient at analyzing lien waivers and preserving rights. 

The cost to attend the class is $25 per person in advance and $30 at registration. Registration and dinner will be available at 5:00 pm and the seminar will start promptly at 5:30 pm.

AltCap's Diversified Contractor Growth Fund
The Diversified Contractor Growth Fund is specifically designed to assist M/WBE certified contractors in the commercial construction industry. Loans provided through the DCGF are meant to increase M/WBE's financial capacity to bid on and perform public and private contract work. Complete a Company Profile to determine your eligibility.

Turner Advanced School of Construction Management
The Turner School of Construction Management is a free, nationally recognized education and community outreach program designed for Small, Disadvantaged, Minority-Owned, Women-Owned, and Veteran-Owned businesses in the commercial construction industry. U.S. Dept. of Transportation Bonding Education Program

Register for the US Department of Transportation (DOT) Bonding Education Program (BEP) 1 1/2 day seminar on February 16-17, 2017. This is an opportunity designed for certified contractors in need of obtaining and/or increasing their bond capacity and obtaining project lending.
