February Shows - Hamilton & Milton
2017 is off to a great start! There were many new faces out to the Milton location, and everyone had a great time being entertained by the fabulous Aubrey Wilson Quartet as well as some very talented Open Mic performers. Since it is our first full season in Milton, to balance the time we skipped January for Hamilton, will not open in Milton for February, but both locations will have shows in March.
After the hiatus of the holiday season, Hamilton will resume showcasing a band that has been described as "Acoustic Blues with a Passion". If you love to get down and dirty with the Blues, you won't want to miss our show on Saturday, February 18 featuring The Dirty Blues Band, an up and coming group in the Greater Hamilton Area.
In the spirit of current and past acoustic waves, The Dirty Blues Band play a wide range of gritty, noisy blues. Vocals, Cajon and a turn-of-the-century designed parlor guitar... elements which come together in The Dirty Blues Band to create an exciting acoustic alternative. Using subtle amplification, the band creates an airy, yet brash sound. The interplay of vocals, percussive cajon, and fingerstyle guitar reminds you of the blues as they were played on your grandparents' old radio... raw, mean and stripped down to the bone.
If you're looking for a good date night or a girls night out, Acoustic Blend Cafe is an excellent choice offering a smaller, cozy environment. Spread the word and encourage friends and family to come out!
The price and format are the same at both locations: $15 at the door (no advance tickets), with light coffee house style refreshments and an Open Mic to start. In Milton, you will also be able to enjoy alcoholic beverages during the show. There is one spot left for Open Mic so email, text or call to reserve it!
Acoustic Blend Cafe is about building community, supporting Canadian talent and businesses, and creating a space for camaraderie and friendship. We set up both the Hamilton and Milton locations to feel like a big living room with comfortable seating, small tables, table cloths, and candle light with light refreshments.
