Community Action Grants announced
Agriculture and Food Minister Mark Lewis has announced 118 community projects as recipients of the 2016-17 State Natural Resource Management Program Community Action Grants made possible by the Liberal National Government's Royalties for Regions. A total of $3.73 million will be distributed across the projects, supported by $6.26 million worth of funding and effort from the participating groups. There were 21 projects awarded funding in the WA rangelands. [Full list of projects]

- Building Better Regions Fund - This program provides funding for infrastructure projects and community investment that will create jobs, drive economic growth and build stronger regional communities into the future. Both streams will open on 18 January 2017. The Infrastructure Projects Stream will close at 5pm local time on 28 February 2017 and the Community Investments Stream will close at 5pm local time on 31 March 2017.
- The 2017–18 Coastwest grants round close noon Tuesday, 21 March 2017. Applications are invited for grants of $5,000 – $50,000.
- Small Grants for Rural Communities (SGRC) close 31 March 2017
- Grants round from the Aussie Farmers Foundation is now open and closes on 28 February 2017.
- Coastal Management Plan Grants (CMPAP) support coastal land managers to develop adaptation plans and strategies for coastal areas that are, or are predicted to become, under pressure from a variety of challenges. Close 21 March.
