Taking Flight:
An Alumna's Path to Happiness

When Laura Geimer (B.A. '16) was in high school, she knew what she wanted to do for the rest of her life. In fact, she was so certain that, at age 17, she asked her parents if they would sign her Air Force enlistment forms. Upon graduating early from high school in December 2003, she left for basic training in January. Learn about how Geimer's journey led her to IPFW and happiness.

Student Research Matters

Eleven psychology students shared their research at Science and Society at IPFW (SASI) on March 18. SASI was held in collaboration with the Northeast Indiana Regional Science and Engineering Fair, which allowed our students the opportunity to share their research with students from grades 6-12 who participated in the fair.

Special congratulations to psychology majors Jedidiah Davis and Genni Newsham and psychology alumna Elli Hernandez (B.A. '16) for winning best poster at SASI. Their poster presentation, supervised by Professors Daren Kaiser and Michelle Drouin, was "The Relationship Between Personality and Attitudes Towards Text Message Responses."

And the Award Goes to...

What an awesome group of achievers! These psychology students will be recognized with department awards at the College of Arts and Sciences Honors Banquet on April 20.
