Put 'em on your calendar
The Houston Food Policy Workgroup is open to all people involved in the 13-county Houston region's food system, from local farmers to elected officials to chefs to health professionals.

We meet every month normally on the 2nd Wednesday of the month from 11:30 am - 1 pm. Every other meeting is focused on furthering progress on the core goals of our current Action Groups.

Twice a year, we replace the normal monthly meeting with special traveling meetings, where we go straight to the agricultural and food assets of the region, such as visiting farms, restaurants, seafood operations, or production facilities. These meetings are usually on Fridays.

Our Mission

The mission of the Houston Food Policy Workgroup is to nurture the growth of a sustainable local food system, accessible to all, through education, collaboration, communication, and creation of a food policy council for the Houston region.
