Posted by Keturah Hetrick on Jan. 30, 2017 A longtime aide to former Rep. Daniel Webster (R-Fla.) is mixing things up as an advocate for the cement industry. Andrew Tyrrell became the National Ready Mixed Concrete Association's government affairs director this month. The trade group spent $1.77 million to lobby on labor and budget issues in 2016. The Florida native had been with Webster's office since 2011, excluding a brief stint as campaign manager of Webster's 2012 reelection campaign. Some people and organizations who "caught our eye" last week:

Making the most of a bad week - Jeff Wood, Staff Director, Senate Environment and Public Works Committee, Clean Air and Nuclear Safety Subcommittee (former staffer) – So-So
