Recently the Knoxville Branch of Associated General Contractors of Tennessee held the 2017 Build Knoxville Awards. TIS Insurance Services, Inc. is honored and humbled to have been selected as the AGC’s Service Provider of the Year. Each category was selected by the AGC membership through ballot votes.

This awards program is a vehicle that offers the AGC members the opportunity to showcase their finest work. The Supplier of the Year was won by A. G. Heins Company, Inc.
The Subcontractor of the Year Award went to Interstate Mechanical Contractors.
The night went on to showcase the Projects of the Year Award the winners. All of the entries were outstanding not only in diversity, but also in their scope of work, attention to detail, and the desire to meet and exceed owner’s expectations. Rentenbach Constructors, Inc. was selected for the Bristol Motor Speedway “Colossus” Videoboard.

Merit Construction, Inc. was selected for their project, the Ripken Experience.
Institutional - Less than $5 million
Interstate Mechanical Contractors, Inc. won for the Pellissippi State Community College Boiler and Chiller Updates.
Institutional - $5 million and over
Johnson & Galyon, Inc. won for their work on the Boys and Girls Club’s New Caswell Facility.
Renovation - $5 million and over
Merit Construction, Inc. won this award for the John H. Daniel Building “The Daniel”.
Construction Safety Excellence Awards
Two Knoxville contractors were recognized for their safety programs in 2016 at the national AGC of America awards
Merit Construction won 3rd place for their building division.
Hicks and Ingle Corporation won 2nd place in their specialty contractor division.
