If you haven't already signed up, be sure to register for my webinar on February 8thMoving from Discussion to Action: Retaining Women in High Tech. If you can't attend the live event, register anyway. We'll send you a link after the event.

And don't forget, if you and someone you refer attend you’ll both be entered into a drawing for a free, signed copy of my new Contextual Design book.

Here's what I'm covering in the webinar.

The Women in Tech Retention (WIT-R) Project is moving along. I’m working with my students at University of Maryland to develop intervention games—we have four concepts now and will prototype one or two games this semester.

We are also ready for a second round of developing the WIT-R measure and extending our interviews to explore product managers and employee onboarding. Our most important work, however, is the development of intervention techniques for teams and individuals. We're looking for company partners who have volunteer teams to work with us. Contact me.

To give you a peek into what we’re doing, I’m having a YouTube Live Event on Wednesday, February 8th. I’ll introduce the key factors and start sharing some of our interventions, along with some exercises you can try out.

I hope you’ll join me! Go to the InContext website to sign up.

And doing forget: If you invite me and pay the way I’ll come speak about WIT-R to your group. In the coming weeks I’ll be going to Research Triangle, North Carolina and New Orleans. Watch for the dates and contact me to add your city to the list.

Best,
K
