Wishing each of you had a glorious start to 2017!  We are gathering a great group of speakers for the National Conference, August 5th and 6th, to be held here at the new Grace Church in beautiful downtown Frisco, Texas. We are also privileged to feature a great blog article from Jeff Kowell of New Life Church, Colorado Springs, Co. this month.

FEATURED CONFERENCE SPEAKER BIOS:

Dr. Sean Lawler, Tactical Instructor, Active Shooter Defense Instructor, Head of Security at Calvary Chapel of Fort Worth, and Federal Agent
 
Sean Lawler earned his Doctor of Management degree from Colorado Technical University within the concentration of Homeland Security Studies. He has conducted doctoral-level research within the related fields of active shooter defense and countering a terrorist attack upon a school. He has studied under subject matter experts in the field, including Dr. John Giduck, who is one of the leading experts on terrorist attacks against schools (including the attack on a school in Beslan, Russia and the attack on Virginia Tech). Dr. Lawler holds a Master of Science degree in Business Administration from Strayer University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science/National Security Studies from the United States Air Force Academy.

The 2017 conference will highlight the Three Strands of Church Security. The study of strand one will include templates of policies and procedures whereby each attendee can form their church’s security documents. In Hebrews 2:13b cited above, there is a prophetic reference to Jesus, the Messiah.  Jesus proclaims to God the Father that He has embarked on His calling to put on human nature and restore our broken relationship with God. Jesus is forever connecting Himself to those that God the Father has given Him.  This is Ownership.  This is Leadership – on the grandest scale.  This is the type of Leadership we are called to as followers of Jesus and Security/Safety Ministry Leaders – the Leadership that flows from a divine sense of purpose and Ownership of our mission and of those given into our care.  READ MORE...
