Hands and Feet, 4/6
Continuum Dives &
Body Awakening
Explorations:

Dates: March 26th & June 4th

Time: 2:30pm-7pm

Our Bodies store negative and positive imprints, and reflect how we organize ourselves around old traumas, patterns, beliefs and postures. This is mirrored in our physical structure and the functioning of each body part. Come and be guided into the wisdom of your Body-Mind to confront, explore, and deconstruct, that which no longer is serving you. Artfully release areas of holding, and allow greater possibilities for change, renewal and growth--physically, emotionally, mentally & spiritually.

THE SPINE: The spinal column serves as the centre (hub) of the body, housing the central nervous system, and making large range of movement possible. It connects us to our limbs and often is associated with posture in life and our "shadow side." In this workshop you will learn to access your spine's natural, fluid undulating motion, while spreading cellular vitality to the rest of the body. Shed layers that no longer support your growth and make room for the creative, "emerging unexpected," (Emile Conrad).

HANDS AND FEET: The hands and arms (extensions of the heart) are associated with the expression of feelings, and the impulse to give and receive. The legs and feet represent our stance, direction and general movement in the world. In this workshop you will learn to activate your somatic awareness from your body's spiraling (heart) centre. A natural anchoring in the legs and feet will emerge to support deep grounding and cellular support. Revitalise your stance in life!

Continuum Movement builds on intuitive, fully embodied motion that is novel and refreshing. Continuum practice creates an internal climate of cellular nurturing and renewed somatic vitality, by allowing a gentle dissolving of compression in the body's tissue and joints. Through the breath and sound vibration, it inspires a breaking through of physical and emotional "obstacles" that limit the flow of healing energy in the body.
The Halprin Life-Art Process of Tamalpa Institute was founded by the legendary Anna Halprin and co-founding director, pioneer in the field, Daria Halprin. Through utilizing movement, art-making, poetic dialogue/writing, sound, breath and creative reenactments, the Life-Art Process provides a creative landscape for meaning-making, to deepen & enrich the stories of our lives.

Therapy of Motion offers transformational, movement meditation and creative arts therapy workshops facilitated in a held, ritual space, for Body Wisdom, Healing & Empowerment
