NAIDOC Week 2017
NAIDOC Week 2017 will run from 2 - 9 July and is an opportunity for all Australians to come together to celebrate the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. 2017 National NAIDOC Poster Competition closes Monday 6 March
Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists over the age of 13 are encouraged to submit their artwork before Monday 6 March 2017 for the National NAIDOC Poster Competition! All entrants go in for the chance to win $5,000 and have their artwork displayed across Australia in workplaces, schools and community organisations to promote NAIDOC Week 2017.
Your artwork should reflect this year's theme - Our Languages Matter.
The 2017 theme - Our Languages Matter - aims to emphasise and celebrate the unique and essential role that Indigenous languages play in cultural identity, linking people to their land and water and in the transmission of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander history, spirituality and rites, through story and song.

2017 National NAIDOC Award nominations close Monday 3 April
The National NAIDOC Committee encourages people to acknowledge the contributions and talents of outstanding Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander individuals by nominating them for a National NAIDOC Award. There are ten categories to choose from covering sport, arts, education, country, and leadership as well as the prestigious Person of the Year and Lifetime Achievement Awards.
Get your nomination in by Monday 3 April 2017 to honour someone inspirational in your life. Award recipients will be honoured during NAIDOC Week at the National NAIDOC Awards Ceremony to be held in Cairns on Saturday 1 July 2017. Tickets will go on sale closer to the event. – Nominate here

2017 National NAIDOC Logo
The 2017 National NAIDOC Logo is now available for public use to help you celebrate NAIDOC Week and is easier than ever to get your hands on it, you can down download the logo straight from the NAIDOC website. The 2017 National NAIDOC Logo reflects this year’s theme, Our Languages Matter – which highlights the importance, resilience and richness of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander languages
When using the 2017 National NAIDOC Logo please remember;
- The National NAIDOC logo’s permitted purpose includes only purposes which are non-commercial, and which raise and promote positive awareness of NAIDOC and NAIDOC activities.
- No alterations are to be made to the National NAIDOC logo.
