Der Naturfreunde-Klimafonds: Dein Beitrag zur Klimagerechtigkeit
Die durch den Flugverkehr verursachten Emissionen sind ein wesentlicher Faktor für den Klimawandel. Dieser hat in vielen Teilen der Welt schon heute dramatische Auswirkungen auf die Ökosysteme und die biologische Vielfalt und damit auf das Leben der Menschen. Verstärkt betroffen sind Länder des globalen Südens, deren Bevölkerung allerdings nur einen sehr geringen Anteil am globalen Flugverkehr hat.
Der Naturfreunde-Klimafonds bietet allen NaturfreundInnen die Möglichkeit, als Ausgleich für Flug- und PKW-Reisen Klimaschutzprojekte der Naturfreunde in Afrika zu unterstützen und so ihren persönlichen Beitrag zu mehr Klimagerechtigkeit zu leisten. Die Beitragszahlungen fließen zu 100% in konkrete Maßnahmen vor Ort, welche die Folgen des Klimawandels mildern und/oder zum Klimaschutz beitragen. --->

Auftakt zum UN-Jahr des Nachhaltigen Tourismus für Entwicklung
Unter dem Motto „Frischer Wind für Nachhaltigen Tourismus“ stand eine Vernetzungs-Veranstaltung zum Auftakt der Wiener Ferien-Messe am 11. Jänner 2017. Das Highlight war eine Podiumsdiskussion über neue Managementansätze im Tourismus, an der auch Manfred Pils, Präsident der Naturfreunde Internationale, teilnahm. Er forderte ein Umdenken in der Reisewirtschaft: „Wir haben heute das nötige Wissen und können auf erprobte Konzepte zurückgreifen; die Herausforderung liegt in der flächendeckenden Umsetzung. Hier sind die Tourismusunternehmen gefordert, aber auch die Reisenden selbst und die Politik. Setzen wir im Jahr des Nachhaltigen Tourismus gemeinsam einen Impuls für eine Trendwende im Tourismus!“

Klimawerkstatt Chile 2017
Die Naturfreunde Bremen führen seit 2011 im Rahmen eines internationalen Klimaprojektes in Deutschland, Togo und Namibia Seminare durch, um jungen Menschen das Thema Klima, Klimawandel und Klimaschutz näher zu bringen. In der „Klimawerkstatt“ wird der Weg vom Wissen zum Handeln aufgezeigt. Im Januar 2017 wurde das Projekt auf Südamerika ausgeweitet. Gemeinsam mit engagierten NaturfreundInnen wurde in Chile eine Klimawerkstatt für SchülerInnen durchgeführt, die auf großes Interesse stieß. Mit dem Projekt wurde der Grundstein für eine längerfristige Projektzusammenarbeit gelegt.

Juni 2017 organisieren die Naturfreunde Italien im Rahmen des Projektes „Srebrenica – City of Hope” eine Reise nach Bosnien – mit dem Ziel, die Gründung der Naturfreunde Bosnien zu unterstützen. CETA: offener Brief an Europäisches Parlament
Am 10. Januar ging ein offener Brief an die Mitglieder des Europäischen Parlamentes, der aufzeigt, dass CETA die hohen Gesundheitsstandards der EU nicht erfüllt und somit nicht zum Schutz der Gesundheit der BürgerInnen beitragen wird. Der Brief wurde von 35 Organisationen, darunter die NFI, unterzeichnet. Zum offenen Brief.
Freiwilligen-Tourismus: Im Urlaub nur mal schnell die Welt retten?
Urlaub machen und sich dabei ein paar Tage in Sozial- oder Umweltprojekten vor Ort engagieren. Immer mehr Veranstalter bieten solche Reisen an. Doch wie, wann und wo macht ein Freiwilligeneinsatz im Urlaub überhaupt Sinn? Jugendliche als BotschafterInnen für nachhaltigen Tourismus
Unter dem Motto „Reisen FAIRändern" lud die NFI im vergangenen Jahr Jugendliche aus Österreich sowie aus Senegal und Togo zu Workshops und einem Peer-to-Peer-Austausch über nachhaltigen Tourismus ein. Als „BotschafterInnen für einen nachhaltigen Tourismus" tragen die jungen Menschen nun die Idee eines fairen Tourismus in ihre Netzwerke weiter. Hier sind tolle Projekte entstanden, die verschiedene Social-Media-Kanäle nutzen. --->

Hiking Europe – Wanderprojekt erschließt neue Wege für nachhaltigen Tourismus

Living Planet Report 2016
Die Ergebnisse des WWF-Reports 2016 sind alarmierend: Die Menschheit verbraucht 60 Prozent mehr, als die Erde bereithält. Setzt sich dieser Verbrauch ungebremst fort, sind 2030 zwei komplette Planeten nötig, um den Bedarf an Nahrung, Wasser und Energie zu decken.

Naturefriends Climate Fund – Your contribution to climate justice
Emissions caused by air traffic play a key role in climate change. Although just a minor share of the global population actively takes part in air traffic, the latter makes up at least five percent of human-made global warming. Climate change has a dramatic impact on ecosystems and biodiversity - thus, on the lives of people - which is already visible in many parts of the world. It especially affects countries of the Global South, the population of which contributes very little to global air traffic.
The Naturefriends Climate Fund provides all Naturefriends with the opportunity of supporting climate protection projects implemented by African Naturefriends as a compensation for plane or car travel. This way, everybody can make a personal contribution to more climate justice. - 100% of the contribution payments go into specific local measures to mitigate the impact of climate change and/or to contribute to climate protection. --->

Start of the International Year of Sustainable Tourism for Development
According to the motto "A breath of fresh air for sustainable tourism", tourism professionals met on January 11th, 2017 at the Grand Hotel Vienna to exchange ideas, network and get started on the International Year of Sustainable Tourism for Development. A special highlight was a panel discussion about new management approaches in tourism, where Manfred Pils, president of Naturfriends International, participated. He appealed to the travel industry: “We have the necessary knowledge and can fall back on tried and tested concepts; the challenge will be implementing those on a larger scale. The tourism industry, but also travelers and politicians, have to take up the challenge. Let us all use the International Year of Sustainable Tourism as a turning point for tourism!”

Climate Workshop Chile 2017
Within the context of an international climate project, Naturefriends Bremen have been offering seminars in Germany, Togo and Namibia since 2011, in order to introduce young people to issues regarding climate, climate change and climate protection. The “Climate Workshops” show how to use the newly acquired knowledge. In January 2017 the project was extended to South America. Together with dedicated Naturefriends the “Climate Laboratory” was conducted with students in Chile, who showed great interest in the project. This event marked the beginning for a long-term partnership.

CETA: open letter to European Parliament
On 10th of january an open letter was sent to the Members of the European Parliament on behalf on 35 organisations including NFI, which highlights why CETA will fail to protect health and to uphold higher EU standards.
Voluntourism – saving the world while travelling?
Travelling and spending a few days working for a social or environmental project at the destination. More and more tour operators offer such holidays. But how, when and where does it make sense to volunteer while on holiday? Naturfriends International – respect and ECPAT Austria produced a short video in which they take a closer look at the most common clichés and misconceptions regarding Voluntourism. Youth Ambassadors for Sustainable Travel
2016 NFI invited teenagers from Austria, Senegal and Togo to learn about sustainable tourism during workshops and to discuss different issues during our Peer-to-Peer exchange. As “Youth Ambassadors for Sustainable Travel”, they now spread the word about fair travelling within their networks. Using different social media channels, the groups created great projects that will help people to understand the issues within sustainable tourism. --->

The results of the WWF report 2016 are alarming: humanity consumes 60 percent more than the earth provides. If this consumption continues unbraked, two complete planets are necessary in 2030 to meet the demand for food, water and energy.

Le Fonds des Amis de la Nature pour le climat – Ta contribution à la justice climatique
Les émissions induites par le trafic aérien sont un facteur principal du changement climatique. Bien que seulement une très faible part des populations du monde participent au trafic aérien, celui-ci est responsable d’aumoins cinq pourcent du réchauffement climatique global dû à l’action de l’homme. Dans bien des régions du monde le changement climatique a déjà des conséquences dramatiques pour les écosystèmes et la diversité biologique et par là pour la vie des gens. Les pays du Sud global sont les plus affectés, dont les populations ne participent cependant qu’à un très faible degré aux déplacements globaux en avion.
Le Fonds des Amis pour le climat offre à toutes les Amies et à tous les Amis de la Nature la possibilité de soutenir, pour contrebalancer les émissions dues à leurs voyages en avion et en voiture, des projets climatiques des Amis de la Nature africains et de fournir ainsi une contribution personnelle à plus de justice climatique. Les montants ainsi versés bénéficient à 100 % à des actions concrètes sur place, atténuant les conséquences du changement climatique et/ou contribuant à la protection du climat. --->

Lancement de l’année internationale du Tourisme durable pour le développement, proclamée par les Nations Unies
Une rencontre de mise en réseau, sous la devise « Du nouveau souffle pour le tourisme durable » a introduit le Salon du tourisme de Vienne, le 11 janvier 2017. L’événement a été couronné par un panel consacré aux nouvelles approches de gestion dans le tourisme, auquel a également participé Manfred Pils, Président de l’Internationale des Amis de la Nature. Il a demandé que le secteur du tourisme repense ses pratiques : « Nous disposons aujourd’hui des savoirs nécessaires et pouvons travailler avec des concepts assurés ; le défi consiste en leur mise en œuvre à grande échelle. Ce défi est lancé aux entreprises du tourisme, mais aussi aux voyageurs et aux milieux politiques. Acheminons-nous ensemble, en cette année du Tourisme durable, vers un renversement de tendance dans le tourisme ! »

Atelier pour le climat, Chili 2017
Dans le cadre d’un projet international pour le climat, les Amis de la Nature de Brême organisent depuis 2011des ateliers en Allemagne, au Togo et en Namibie, destinés à informer des jeunes sur certains aspects du climat, du changement climatique et de la protection du climat. Dans ces « Ateliers pour le climat » ils apprennent comment passer du savoir à l’action. En janvier 2017 le projet a été étendu à l’Amérique du Sud. En coopération avec des Amies et des Amis de la Nature engagé/e/s un Atelier pour le climat a été proposé à des élèves au Chili. L’intérêt porté à l’atelier a été grand, et les fondements ont pu être posés d’une collaboration durable dans le cadre du projet.

CETA : Lettre ouverte au Parlement européen
Le 10 janvier une lettre ouverte a été adressée aux membres du Parlement européen, montrant que les normes ambitieuses de l’UE en matière sanitaire ne sont pas respectées par le CETA et que celui-ci ne contribuera donc pas à la protection de la santé des citoyennes et des citoyens. La lettre a été signée par 35 organisations, parmi elles l’IAN.
Partir en vacances pour, en passant, sauver le monde?
Voyager et s‘engager pendant quelques jours dans des projets sociaux ou environnementaux sur place. Un nombre croissant de tour opérateurs proposent de tels voyages. Mais comment, quand et où un tel engagement volontaire pendant les vacances peut-il être utile ? Des jeunes comme ambassadeurs du tourisme durable
Sous la devise « Rendre les voyages équitables » l´IAN a invité des jeunes d’Autriche, du Sénégal et du Togo à des ateliers et à un échange pair-à-pair sur le tourisme durable en 2016. En tant qu’ambassadrices et ambassadeurs du tourisme durable les jeunes propageront désormais l’idée du tourisme équitable au sein de leurs réseaux. Des projets vraiment intéressants ont ainsi vu le jour, faisant appel à divers médias sociaux, pour sensibiliser leurs pairs pour le tourisme durable. --->

Rapport Planète Vivante 2016
Les résultats du Rapport 2016 du WWF sont alarmants : l’humanité consomme 60 pourcent plus de ressources que la planète ne peut mettre à disposition. Si la consommation se poursuit au même rythme, il faudra en 2030 deux planètes complètes pour couvrir les besoins en nourriture, eau et énergie.
