The Ventilation Buildings at the North and South SR-99 tunnel portals greet travelers as they re-emerge to the City. The ventilation stacks identify these as working buildings, facilitating both routine and emergency tunnel ventilation.

Greenbusch Group, as a subconsultant to NBBJ Architects, collaborated with WSDOT and the Architect contributing to mechanical, acoustical and elevator sections of the design/build performance specifications for both the north and south ventilation buildings.

Greenbusch acoustical and mechanical designers worked closely to integrate the mechanical system noise and vibration control with the HVAC bridging documents to ensure appropriate sound isolation for office and administrative spaces.

The facility is being designed to LEED^® Silver standards.
