Thank you to everyone who contributed to help our year-end campaign be a success. 2017 has been off to a good start and our FCA huddles are back in session and we are seeing a lot of fruit in our discipleship meetings with college athletes.
FAMILY UPDATE
Isaac's first plane ride
We had the joy of visiting family in Myrtle Beach the end of December and other family and friends in Knoxville the first part of January. It was a blessing for me to meet so many families who have invested in Katie for many years of her life when she worked as a Junior High Director at a church in Knoxville. We got to share family and ministry updates and deepen our relationship with new ministry partners. Issac did great traveling and is a little trooper letting us take him along. He even got to be in snow for the first time.

INTERNATIONAL MINISTRY
At the start of January we sent a team of eight coaches to southern India to run a soccer, volleyball and basketball camp for 290 high school and college athletes. Katie and I did not go but we got to recruit and help train the team in preparation for the trip. The vision for the camp developed after one of our previous trips to India and it was so encouraging to see this project come to fruition.
This was the largest residential sports camp FCA has conducted in South Asia to date and there are many amazing stories of impacted lives which we would love to share more about in person or over the phone.
Our central coast Area Rep, Olivia Trudeau, went on the trip as a volleyball coach and we are so proud of her and the way the Lord used her to impact these volleyball athletes for Christ.
CAMPUS MINISTRY

Ministry at Cal Poly is off two a great start with new guest speakers and a growing number of athletes in attendance. More athletes are starting to be discipled and we are even preparing for a baptism outreach in March for athletes who have given their life to the Lord this year.

One of the guys I have been investing in is Harry (on the right) who gave his live to Christ recently after the passing of his father. He has been growing a lot and is starting to impact his team and other athletes as well.

Harry even shared his testimony to all the athletes at our large group meeting and is working with a couple other guys to help lead a Bible study for the football team. The local high school ministry is going well with Olivia in the south and Chris Gaschen now part time in the north. We are have been seeing some great partnership with local churches and youth pastors.

One of the girls Katie has been meeting with, Megan, came to SLO High as a guest speaker this past week. It has been awesome to see athletes like Harry and Megan step out of their comfort zones and allow the Lord to use them to impact others.
YEAR-END UPDATE
We had a great year end response thanks to our wonderful support team! We raised $23,990 and want to say THANK YOU to all of you who gave! These funds provide the needed resources for our annual outreach expenses like food for huddle meetings, camp scholarships, Bibles, shirts etc. and some of our operation costs as well. Thank you again for your partnership and investment in this ministry!

Please keep us in prayer as we prepare for upcoming ministry events like our FCA Golf Classic on March 4th and our trip to Thailand for the FCA International Capacity Conference at the end of February. In Thailand we will be with 57 leaders from multiple countries including ALL of our International Sports Partners from South Asia, Lord willing. Please pray for all of our campus ministry teams of student leaders and adult volunteers and for our ongoing impact with the nearly 1,000 student athletes who are involved with the local ministry each month.
