The advanced nitrate removal technology system will provide more than 200 million gallons of potable water to Sunny Slope's 30,000 households.  The advanced nitrate removal technology - which generates no secondary waste - is the first of its kind in Southern California and will bring significant benefits to Sunny Slope's customers.

"Our customers deserve the safest and best solutions, and we are happy to be the first to bring this innovative technology to the region," said Ken Tcheng, General Manager of Sunny Slope Water Company.

We Need Your Input!
With the unique challenges small systems face, we want to ensure that the workshops we offer are of value to your mutual water company.

Therefore, we would like to hear from you on potential topics that you are interested in learning more about.

Examples include:
  • Identifying a list of consultants familiar with issues impacting small mutual water companies
  • Proper record-keeping procedures
  • Managing your company with limited staff and resources
  • Assistance with writing or sharing policies and procedures
  • By-Law & Articles of Incorporation updates to limit liability and exposure
  • Benefit and/or pitfalls of hiring (and funding) a General Manager
  • How to complete a Rate Study including assessments, service charges and water consumption
Let us know your top concerns and we'll organize a workshop to address them!

In addition to offering useful information to members, our workshops provide a unique opportunity to network with other mutual water company representatives and share best practices with one another.

Please contact our Managing Director, Denise Peralta Gailey, at Denise@CalMutuals.org to help us organize workshops that your company needs.
