The 2017 LACA Online Photo Contest coming SOON!
The 2017 LACA Online Photo Contest will run from March 1st – April 4th. The Ludington Area Center for the Arts Online Photo Contest is open to photographers of any age from anywhere in the world. The contest will feature two divisions: Pro/Advanced Amateur and an Amateur Division. The contest also features 7 categories, including a cell-phone category. We would like to encourage photographers of all levels of experience to enter and have a chance to win. The proceeds from this year’s contest will go towards the purchase of a high end projector for the Art Center, as well as Performance Hall upgrades. We urge you to take time during this next month to choose your entries and be ready for the start of the contest! The contest will run from March 1st – April 4th at midnight. Todd and Brad love working with libraries, clubs, or groups to put on video/photo presentations showcasing the beauty of Michigan. A 1 to 1.5 hour presentation fee is $150, plus round trip mileage at the government rate of $0.535. Todd and Brad will welcome questions following the presentation and have books, calendars or other items for sale. Todd and Brad have presented their 20/20 Vision Workshop to many photo clubs around Michigan and some surrounding states. They enjoy helping other photographers see the vision side of photography. If you are looking to schedule a workshop, please consider Todd and Brad Reed’s 20/20 Vision Workshop. The 20/20 Vision Workshops will focus on the art/vision side of photography. Todd and Brad will provide you with more choices/building blocks to create great art by utilizing the 20 artistic elements they use when they are in the field building their photographs. They build photographs, they don't take photographs. Todd and Brad will help the most experienced shooters along with total beginners; learn how to become more efficient and effective in building strong compositions. Children’s Workshop coming July 2017
Todd and Brad are excited to announce a FREE hour-long photo talk for KIDS! This will take place in our downtown Ludington gallery. Todd and/or Brad will talk about the artistic side of photography, they will teach this using pieces hanging in the gallery as examples. This will be a free event, limited to the first 40 kids to sign up. Stay tuned for more information.
