~ Happy Year of the Rooster! ~
Wing on Wo & Co. and The W.O.W Project began an incredible journey in 2016. We're excited to celebrate our accomplishments and share our plans for the coming year with you in this first edition of the W.O.W newsletter!
~ W.O.W Highlights of 2016 ~
In October, The W.O.W Project received fiscal sponsorship from China Residencies. Since then, The W.O.W Project & China Resdencies have teamed up to launch the inaugural 店面 Residency
#CTownWomenAtWork

The W.O.W Project held an intergenerational panel discussion with four women pioneers about their struggle to build community.
See here for the
resource sheet they put together with recs for CBOs to support in Chinatown.
W.O.W in the Media

Urban Omnibus sat down with Mei & Diane for an interview debriefing on the last year of community dialogue, neighborhood roots and family ties, and their hopes for the new year. Read more here.
To learn more about what W.O.W's been up to, watch this short documentary directed & edited by the very talented Denise Zhou.
~ W.O.W in 2017 ~
We launched our very own blog

The W.O.W Weekly is a blog created to inspire conversations that address issues in New York City’s Chinatown in relation to
the larger Asian American diaspora.
Pearl Ngai, one of W.O.W's high school interns, is the editor in Chief.
Be sure to check back weekly for new posts.
We're expanding our Chinatown Oral History Collection!

The W.O.W Project, in collaboration with Cornell University doctoral candidate Diane Wong, is working hard to record our community's stories. We plan to build a digital curated archive housed out of W.O.W's current website.
Stay tuned for a summer 2017 launch!
