BC Cup Information for Recreational Skier

As many of you are aware, it is the BC Cup at the Club this weekend. It is a very exciting event for all to enjoy. Come and check out all the action, spectators are always welcome.

For those looking to come out for a nice ski on a beautiful day, but not impact the races, we have a variety of options for you. As the races and activity will be happening in the main stadium area, we have opened up the dog parking lot and lot #4 (located just beyond the main parking lot access on Otway Rd) for all those keen skiers. You will be able to access many of our freshly groomed trails and enjoy some great skiing conditions. Check out the map below for more details. The orange highlighted trails are recommended for the weekend for best conditions and avoiding race traffic. Races will be all done by 4pm on Saturday, and by 1pm on Sunday.

Conditions are still challenging on many of the upper trails. Feel free to check out the website for more information on conditions.

Waxing, Rentals and Trail Passes

For all those folks coming out who may not have skis or a trail pass, do not fear. The rental office will be open regular hours throughout the races and we will be more then happy to assist all our visitors.

Waxing options will be limited at the club. The wax room will be used for our many volunteers to hang out and stay warm when needed. We encourage those folks that need to prep their skis to take care of this in advance. Looks like a cool weekend so waxing should be easy.

Ohh...Chocolat

With races this weekend, Ohh...Chocolat will not be out at the club. We will look forward to their return on Sunday February 11. With Iceman next weekend, we still encourage members to come out and enjoy the wonderful trails after the races have moved towards the city. Follow a great ski with some delicious treats and nice company at the Ohh...Chocolat Cafe.
