March First Fridays Artswalk
Friday, March 3rd, 5 to 8 pm
Enjoy a dozen different art shows featuring work by over twenty accomplished regional artists in Pittsfield’s bustling Upstreet Cultural District during the First Fridays Artswalk and all month long!
In most venues, artists will be present from 5 to 8 pm on Friday, March 3rd!
Join us for a free guided tour beginning at 5pm on March 3rd at the Intermodal Center @ BRTA, 1 Columbus Ave!

Dottie's Coffee Lounge
444 North Street, Pittsfield, MA.
Dottie’s Coffee Lounge recently invited local artists to use their creative genius and recycle chairs no longer being used in the Lounge. The only instruction was to take the chairs and bring them back in another form in time for Pittsfield’s 10×10 Upstreet Arts Festival.
A closing reception for 10×10 Chairity: Take a Seat! will be held on Friday, March 3rd from 5 to 8 pm, with artist talks at 7 pm. Bidding in the Silent Auction will end at 8 pm. Come meet the artists and hear about their inspiration. Plus, have a last chance to bid on these awesome creations, from wall hangings and table sculptures to planters, a toy box, and more! Proceeds from 10×10 Chairity: Take a Seat! will go to the Pittsfield Education Foundation (PEF).

BerkshireNow: Daniel Bellow will feature sculptural forms of porcelain “rocket ships,” by Berkshire-based artisan Daniel Bellow, an accomplished potter whose work is remarkable for its exquisite glazes and textured surfaces.
The exhibit will be open on Friday, March 3rd, from 5 to 8 p.m., in conjunction with Pittsfield’s First Fridays Artswalk, when the Museum’s BerkshireNow gallery is open to the public at no cost.

The Lichtenstein Center for the Arts will present the Berkshire Art Association (BAA) College Fellowship Show for the month of March. The BAA College Fellowship Show features the work of Berkshire County residents enrolled as art majors at any college in the country, as well as non-residents currently majoring in art at a Berkshire County College. Prizes will be awarded to students whose work is selected. The mission of the BAA is to connect artists and the community in order to inspire creativity and increase access to the visual arts. There will be a reception during Artswalk on Friday, March 3rd from 5 to 8 pm.

March in Motion! Viva la Resistance! Over 100 Berkshire-made placards rearranged from our regions’ Women’s marches. The collection of signs will be donated to the Berkshire Museum where they will be catalogued and available for future use in an exhibition highlighting the ways individuals contribute to shaping history.
Viva La Resistance! will be on view through March. Visit us during First Friday Artswalk on March 3rd from 5 to 8pm in the lower level of Shire City Sanctuary.

Brothership Building Window

For the month of March, The Brothership Window will feature a group show organized by Lucie Castaldo, entitled “Phenomenal Women”.
