Preparing for Sunday - Gospel-Centered Living Romans 12:14-21

Prepare your heart for Sunday by looking through these suggestions that will assist you in making the most of our time together.

VBS is just around the corner on July 11-15, 2011 from 9am-Noon.  We are looking for volunteers to be Crew Leaders and online registration is now available for your children.  For more information see our website or contact Stacy McCommon.

Sunday, June 12, 4-8pm

Join us for our Annual Church-Wide Picnic from 4-8pm, Sunday, June 12 at Hitt Park in Greenwood, MO. We are looking forward to gathering together for great fellowship and conversation. The church will be serving hamburgers and hotdogs along with providing lemonade, water, and paper goods. We are requesting your family bring a dessert, salad, and/or side along with any chairs, blankets, or other picnic items you may need. The park includes a playground, sand volleyball court, baseball fields, and a covered shelter for food service.

Prayer Requests

  • Kent and Monica Clay - Recovering from car accident.  Monica is struggling with pain in back, neck, and arms; it is affecting her ability to rest and sleep.
  • Abe and Sandy White – Sandy was 28 weeks pregnant and the baby has fluid around the heart which is causing a rise in heart rate.  They scheduled a c-section Thursday afternoon to avoid further complications in the baby and mom.  Please pray for the health of both over the next several days.
  • This past Monday, Todd Arnold let us know that a co-worker's nephew, 2 yr old, was accidentally backed over by his father in their drive way.  Please pray for Steve (father), Lawrence (Todd's co-worker), and the family in their loss.
  • Vicki Walton (friend of Jan and Dave Irwin; husband Steve) – Ocular melanoma; spread from eye to liver.  Surgery is planned in the coming weeks.
