Six Ages Coming to Steam!

Most Kitfox fans seem to enjoy mythology and system-driven narratives, and Tanya is a big fan, so we wanted to let you know that we'll be publishing a successor to the cult hit King of Dragon Pass (1999) from its designer David Dunham: Six Ages: Ride Like the Wind (Steam page, trailer)!

What is Six Ages?

Combining interactive fiction and turn-based strategy, Six Ages immerses you in a hostile, blood-soaked land governed by myth and cursed with wonders. Uncover the secrets of the valley, battle ancient enemies, and meet the gods, all while protecting your people and raiding your neighbors’ cows. With over 400 interactive, hand painted scenes, the lore and non-binary decision making creates an experience that is unique, replayable and truly consequential.

Its predecessor King of Dragon Pass has been cited as inspiration many other hit games such as Banner Saga, Fallen London, and of course Moon Hunters. Six Ages takes the core mechanics of KoDP and changes the core mythology to a new clan type, while improving upon numerous gameplay aspects such as combat, animal spirits, and other essentials.

Six Ages will come to Steam in 2019, but you could wishlist it now...!

Boyfriend Dungeon Kickstarter

While we're here, I'd also like to shout from the rooftops that we'll be Kickstarting Boyfriend Dungeon in August, hoping to fund more weapon-babes to date.

Keep an eye out! New boyfriends ahoy! Let us know if you have any ideas for cool limited edition merch...

Summer's Half Over!?

We've been quieter while we work lately, but we're remembering to enjoy the sun now and then while it is briefly visiting Montreal... such as having this little picnic on Monday with a few other local indies.

If you want to keep up with everything we're up to, follow us on Twitter or join our Discord. Let's be friends!

Finally, I want to give a quick shout-out to the Edible Games Cookbook Kickstarter, which only has a week left! Jenn Sandercock is an avant-garde game designer with brilliant insights into how to combine delicious foods with clever game design. The book itself is beautiful, and I can say from personal experience that the games are fun.

I've already bought a copy for my sister-in-law and her kids to use together, and I hope I can borrow it.. if you want one, you'll have to buy your own!
Thanks for reading! We promise to only email you when it's important.
