July is Park and Recreation Month, and we're celebrating with a variety of free and low-cost activities.
Enjoy an outdoor movie at the Lakewood Heritage Center, 801 S. Yarrow St., on Sunday, July 15. Bring your picnic blanket or lawn chair, movie treats and snag your spot on the hill as early as 6:30 p.m. The LEGO Ninjago Movie begins at dusk.

A summer of awesome awaits!
Help your child's imagination grow in a fun summer camp. Check out a selection of upcoming camps:
- KITCHEN ACCESSORY CRAFTS: Learn sewing basics while creating items such as aprons, hot pads, placemats and more. Ages 6-10 | Jul 16-20 | Register
- WAY TO GROW: Create flower paintings, miniature succulent gardens and whimsical wind chimes. Ages 7-10 | Jul 16-20 | Register
- MUSICAL THEATER FOR TEENS: Learn to do it all. This camp will explore musical theater scenes involving acting, singing, and dancing. All levels welcome. Ages 13-17 | Jul 23-27 | Register
- SUPER HERO ENGINEERING USING LEGO: Save the world with LEGO Super Heroes! Build the hideouts and vehicles of your favorite caped crusaders and learn what makes them not only Super Heroes, but Super Hero Engineers! Ages 5-6 | Jul 23-27 | Register

Family Pool Nights
Summer is officially here, and so are family nights at the pool! Join us for games and the inflatable obstacle course from 5:30 to 8 p.m. on the dates listed below:
- Morse Park Pool: July 13 & August 1
- Glennon Heights Pool: July 18 & August 10
