Greetings.  To those of you keeping track of the Colorado wildfires, we are safe.  At times, we could see plumes of smoke from area fires, but they were not close enough to require evacuating. Please continue to pray for safety for the firefighters, those who have lost their homes, and for desperately needed rain.

Recently, we have been encouraged by several good reports regarding those we have been ministering to. While we must be careful to maintain confidentiality, we thought you might be interested to know how God is working through Blue Fire Legacy to positively impact those called to ministry.
One couple reported that they had been fully reinstated by their credentialing board after completing their work with us, another reports success in standing strong against temptation while on the field, and there are even third-party reports of being able to see positive changes.  We are also aware that our contact information is being passed on as personal recommendations.  We appreciate God’s goodness as we are inspired by these reports.

A couple of weeks ago we were able to get away for a couple days to accomplish some writing.  It is good to go through the stories of God’s faithfulness.  In the process of revisiting those occasions of our lives, it serves as both a reminder and an encouragement.  We are nearing the end of the printed copies of the first run of Behind Enemy Lines: A Discipleship Course in Spiritual Warfare.  We hope to add an electronic version in addition to running a second printing.  If you’ve been meaning to order a copy for yourself or as a gift, now is the time.

Many of you have been inquiring how Dallas’ dad is recovering and how our girls are doing. Dallas’ brother has made a couple of trips down to check on their folks which is extremely helpful.  Dallas’ dad continues to recover at home.  He has more hours he is awake now, but he is still spending the majority of his hours in bed which is difficult for someone used to teaching karate classes.  The doctors seem pleased with the progression of healing, but they are telling him to expect a new normal as the coloring of his leg is not expected to return to its pre-infection state.  He has been cleared for short outings which should help stave off the cabin fever he’s been struggling with recently.  He really enjoyed getting to go to church yesterday for the first time since all this started.  They will be running tests to check on the condition of the blood vessels in that leg, but we have yet to know when they will schedule the testing.

Gabrielle is continuing her studies and working through the process toward attaining her Ph.D. She is thrilled to be doing more lab work and reading fewer journal and academic articles.

Danielle had a minor dirt bike accident a little over a week ago.  She injured her knee and has been utilizing crutches and a knee brace.  It’s greatly impeding her independence.

Shanielle is completing summer classes and will graduate with her Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology this coming May.

We continue on in our daily tasks.  Some days are more fulfilling than others.  We believe this is a time of preparation and look forward to what is in store.  To invest in the ministry or send personal support funds, please visit www.bluefirelegacy.org/support or use the mailing address provided.
