Integrity Commissioner: Reports

Integrity Commissioner Janet Leiper delivered two reports to City Council. The first report had been requested by Council regarding the report of a prior Integrity Commissioner and whether Council should reduce a prior sanction imposed by Council. Integrity Commissioner Leiper respectfully declined to comment on the report of a prior Integrity Commissioner.

The second report had been requested by Council to investigate an informal resolution between Councillor Ioannoni and the person(s) affected, and whether or not there was a breach of the Code of Conduct. The report finds the matter was resolved to the satisfaction of both parties and also, that as a result of the remediation efforts, it is unnecessary to make findings on whether there was a breach of the Code of Conduct or to ask Council to consider imposing a sanction.
