Focus on Teacher Education: How Can We Produce and Support New Teachers?
Learning First Alliance Executive Director Richard Long will interview Lynn M. Gangone, executive director of the American Association of Colleges for Teacher Education (AACTE) on July 16 at 1:30 p.m. EDT on Facebook Live. This is the latest event in the series related to LFA's recent compendium of research and best practices, "The Elements of Success: 10 Million Speak on Schools That Work."
Dr. Gangone will discuss the current state of teacher education and address the issue of persistent teacher shortages in some subjects and geographical areas. Elements of Success has led to a focus on teachers, teacher education, and ongoing support as a critical need for K-12 education. AACTE and LFA will address how colleges and schools of teacher education can be part of the solution to school improvement.
