CALAMARI Update

Over the past couple of editions of eNews, we asked for knitters to help create new CALAMARI, or CAL for short.
CALAMARI SHANARRI is an initiative of CrossReach's Children and Families and has proved very popular in engaging groups and individuals to learn about GIRFEC and children’s wellbeing.
Since May, Tanya, CAL's "Mum", has been overwhelmed with the interest in CAL. Tanya says "Literally hundreds of people have either expressed how much they like CAL, or want to know how to get involved or knit one for their own use. I've had communications from other Charities, Local Authorities, Social Work Departments, as well as individuals. The response has been amazing."
Help us spread the important message about children's wellbeing, which is what CAL is all about, by sending Tanya your pictures and stories of CAL. We are interested in where and how you have used CAL and may share your stories to inspire others in how to use CAL. Drop Tanya an email here.
If you want us to keep you up to date on what's happening with CAL, please click here.

We need more knitters to knit more CALs. If you are able to knit us a CALAMARI then email us for the pattern) and send your colourful CALAMARI to: CALAMARI SHANARRI, CrossReach, Charis House, 47 Milton Road East, Edinburgh, EH15 2SR

I can't believe you're talking about Christmas!
We are mid-way through summer, and it's been a scorcher so far this year. So how about thinking about cooler times, like Christmas!
It's not that long now until the CrossReach Christmas Card and Calendar Collection 2018 is available, and the elves in the CrossReach Christmas Team have been sweating away getting everything ready for the launch on 3rd September.
If you are on our Catalogue mailing list then the Catalogues should be with you by 1st September. If you want to receive the Catalogue, or aren't sure if you are on the mailing list, drop us an email to webshop@crossreach.org.uk or phone our chief elf, Fiona, on 0131 454 4374.

It's good to talk...
There's only limited space here to let you know of the transformations you and CrossReach, together, are making in Scotland, and the opportunities to do more.
We would love to come and talk to your Church, Guild or
other group
to let you know more about the exciting, life changing, differences being made, and how you can be part of it.
Phone us now on 0131 454 4374 or email supporters@crossreach.org.uk and let's agree a date to talk.
