Hambleton Community Action is a registered charity. We offer a number of services for the local community and provide information and support to voluntary and community groups in the local district.
We are currently recruiting a Project Officer based in Northallerton to join our Projects Team to deliver our community support services to people living in the Northallerton, Bedale and surrounding villages.
We are currently delivering the following services; as new projects are developed from time to time the Project Officer’s role will not be limited to these schemes:
• Carer’s Respite Sitting Service
• Community Visiting Scheme
• Community Car Scheme
• Supported Volunteering
• Social Afternoons and Coffee Mornings
The Project Officer will have a lead responsibility for the volunteer visiting schemes (Carer’s Respite Sitting Service and the Community Visiting Scheme). They will also work closely with other members of staff and office volunteers to deliver the other projects, in particular, the Project Officer with lead responsibility for the Community Car Scheme. It is planned that these two post holders will provide cover for each other.
We are offering this as a 10 hour per week post worked over 3 days, although there may be opportunities for additional hours.
Salary: £19,984 pro rata plus 5% pension contribution
