VBS and BBQ This Week

VBS kicks off this Monday and goes through Friday from 9-12 on campus. Please keep the children, student leaders, and the volunteers who are putting in tons of time and energy to make this happen, in your prayers!

Everyone is invited to a BBQ on Friday evening at 6:30pm. We are also looking for help setting up at 5:30pm. To RSVP or sign up to help out email Leanna Rozean.

Garbat-Welch Missionary Visit!

On July 15, TPC will host the Garbat-Welches who are PCUSA Mission Partners based in Malawi serving the Church of Central Africa Presbyterian (CCAP). Luta works with Community Health Evangelism initiatives and Jeremy is the Facilitator for Chaplain Training focusing both on hospital and prison ministries. After four years, they are now on home assignment for two months connecting with family, friends and supporting churches. For the next four-year term, Jeremy will expand his role allowing Luta to spend more time at home with their two young sons, Jathniel (Jot) who is 5 and Azai who will soon be 2. Our special relationship with them began four years ago prior to their departure. They will be sharing some of their experiences and report on how God is blessing their calling.

Both Jeremy and Luta will participate in morning worship at 9:30 AM with a joint Moment for Mission. Following the service and patio visitation, there will be a 30 minute slide presentation update of their ministry in the MPR with a light lunch provided beginning at 10:45 AM. Child care will be available.

Family Dinner & Movie Night!

Join us Friday, July 20th for dinner and a movie at TPC! Dinner is at 6:30, and the movie begins at 7:00, both in the MPR! The feature presentation will be the family friendly Coco! RSVP to Rosie Wedel!

VBS Village of Hope Collection

We are collecting items for our local partner, the Village of Hope/Orange County Rescue Mission during VBS week. We are encouraging donations of:

  • New children's undergarments
  • Socks of all sizes
  • Size 6 diapers
  • Gently used clothing, linens, swimsuits, and toys
This is a great time to clean out your closets! Please bring your items to the narthex between Sunday, July 8 and Sunday July 15. Contact Jill Nagasugi with any questions!
Hotel Toiletries Collection

Traveling this summer? Too many hotel hygiene products? Donate them and TPC will make good use of them towards ongoing ministries to the homeless and others in need. There is a collection bin in the narthex or feel free to drop them off at church throughout the week.
Bags of Hope

Please feel free to pick up a “Bag of Hope” after Sunday's service in the narthex that you can keep in your car and give to a homeless person. The bags are intended to provide our congregation a way to offer a small gift to victims of homelessness and offer them hope!
