Fleetwood Seniors Event for Canada Day, June 29, 2018
|
|
Hi <<First Name>>,
Thanks to the dancers who participated in the Fleetwood Seniors Event on June 29. We managed to get the seniors up and dancing for Western Trio Mixer and La laine des moutons. See complete dance list below. Let me know if you are interested in helping choose the dances on the demonstration list for next year - it is a new set each year!
Do you have a special date to celebrate this summer? I know of at least 3 momentous events happening this summer that deserve celebrating. I want to this to be part of our Summer BBQ this year. Please let me know - maybe you know a special date for someone else that will be at our BBQ? Think of birthdays, anniversaries that are multiples of 10, for example. Email surreyfolkdance@gmail.com.
Just so you know, all these newsletters are being archived on the SIFD website along with the Folk Dance Sundays newsletters. Have a look here: https://surreyfolkdance.org/email-archives/. You have no excuse!
Extra events are optional and are listed here for your information. If a couple of hours of dancing once a week on Thursdays is as much as you want or can manage, that is fine!
- SIFD Summer BBQ on Saturday, July 28, 3pm-10pm, at Don's farm, 25133 0 Ave, Aldergrove. Admission $10. Folk Voice Band of Seattle will play live music for us! Walk around the farm, dancing, then pot-luck dinner/BBQ, followed by more dancing! Bring sensible shoes for walking around the farm and for dancing. Let us know if you want to contribute meat for the BBQ. Bring side dishes, salad, appetizers, beverages, desserts, etc. Please RSVP if you are planning to attend, so we know how many people to expect. Thanks! Currently I have 21 on the list. Email RSVP is best. First I add you to the list, then reply with thanks. Don't remember? Reply again :) Bring your $10 to the BBQ.
- New season starts Thursday, September 6, 2018.
Happy Dancing,
Dale

Do you want to help choose our demonstration suite for next year? Let's hold a dance session or two in August to figure out what dances will be on the list.
I will try to schedule times that work for those interested.
