Dear Partner:
Fountain of Hope is a busy place these days. I recently added some boxes of granola bars to my van and as I see a homeless, hurting person on the side of the road with a sign asking for "anything will help", I hand them a box of granola bars. A few weeks ago, all 3 of my teens were in the van and I moved across 2 lanes of traffic to hand out a box of granola bars. The man's face changed into a huge smile, and he said, "These are the good kind." My teens were so impacted by his change in facial expression. They talked about it for a while. We can so easily be the hands and feet of Jesus for someone in need. That is what FOHM does every week and you have played a part in it by your prayer and financial support.

Healing Room Testimony:
A lady with back problems came to Healing Rooms for prayer. She had a lot of back trouble and pain. Part of our prayer for her was, "when you walk out the door it will go." It did! As she walked out the door, her pain left. All gone. K.D.

FOHM was involved in the KW Multicultural Festival again this year. In spite of a weekend of rain, God was moving and we have many testimonies to share.
|
|
Multicultural Festival Testimonies:
I prayed for MC who had his girlfriend with him. MC gave his life to the Lord when we ministered to him at The Prayer in the Park event. He had great depression and said he was involved in Satanism and was planning to be an Illuminati Priest. His demeanor and countenance had brightened up after our interaction with him. He actually laughed with joy. When he came again for prayer at the KWMF, he testified that he had joined a Street Ministry evangelism team. We prayed for his hurting back and he felt the pain leave.
His girlfriend KC also received the Lord into her heart and we prayed for her alcoholic mum. Another lady, who was manifesting demonic torment, was also delivered and she rededicated her life to Christ. H.N.
Pastor Sam and I went towards the bus terminal to evangelize. First we met a young man whose parents were Roman Catholic and he therefore considered himself Roman Catholic as well. We asked if he knew he was going to Heaven. We shared about having a living relationship with Jesus. He wanted to take a tract to study the Scriptures at home. I believe he wanted to dedicate his life to Christ. Next, we prayed for a lady on her way to work and also spoke to two students from Conestoga College, who were originally from India. They both prayed the sinner’s prayer to receive Jesus as their Saviour. We handed out tracts to people as well as the New Testament Bibles that we had received from the Gideons. When I was back at the FOHM booth, a young woman asked me if someone could pray for her, and the team prayed for her. I also spoke to a Christian man who walked with a walker and asked if he wanted prayer. He answered that he did, and our team prayed for him as well. R. F.

Upcoming Events:
SUMMER CLOSURE: FOHM will be closed as of Monday, July 16th and will re-open Monday, September 17th. To all our volunteers, "thank you" and have a great summer!!
BarBQ for the Neighbourhood: Saturday, September 8th. We need donations and volunteers. Contact Fountain of Hope admin@fountainofhopemhc.com for more information.
Ride for Refugee Fundraiser: Mark the date on your calendar - September 28. We would ask you to please consider walking or riding to raise much needed funds to sustain the various ministries at FOHM. Participants have the choice of doing a 5 km walk or a 10 / 25 / 50 km bike ride. People who would like to take part in the fundraiser have the option of being a team leader or a fundraiser. Team Leaders recruit people to take part in the walk or bike ride and fundraise money. Every person they recruit goes on their team and they try to raise as much money as possible. The money fundraised will go to Fountain of Hope ministries after the event is completed.
We also need fundraisers who will do the walk or bike ride. Pick an event to participate in (biking or walking) and ask everyone you know to donate money to support you in participating in the event.
If the 5 km walk is too much for you to do, you can fundraise to be a volunteer at the event. Contact Fountain of Hope admin@fountainofhopemhc.com for more information.

Benton Street Baptist Church has an amazing AWANA program. The participants did a food drive and donated cans and non-perishables to FOHM. We really appreciate your care and support.
