Part of the vision of NBC's families ministry is to equip parents to disciple their kids. This week, we want to put some tools in your hands to help you with Bible Reading.
To start with, Sandy Galea, kids ministry guru, gives us 10 simple tips to help you read the Bible with your children (her recommended reading list at the end is great!!!)
- It’s never too early to begin reading the Bible to children. From a very young age establish the routine - Bible, bath, bed (or bath, Bible, bed).
- Establish a regular time when you read the Bible with your child (breakfast, dinner or bedtime).
- Regular and short is better than irregular and drawn-out.

One of my favourite resources is The Bible App for Kids. It is available on all devices and is completely free! It has 41 interactive Bible stories that you can read (or have read) to your kids. They can collect rewards for reading and will be asked questions to see how well they've understood the story. There are also games and activities attached to many of the stories. I highly recommend it!

- Kids' Arvo is for primary aged kids every Friday from 4:30-6. We play, eat and learn.
