Self Sustainability Workshop 1-2 September at The Sustainability Institute, Stellenbosch.
As a way of life,
movement has always been key to sustained health. Whether it's external or internal movement, our bodies and minds are continually aiming for homeostasis, for balance. Many physical imbalances and numerous mental health issues occur from being too static and sedentary. For many people, office-jobs in particular result in severe lack of movement, postural misalignment, muscle and joint weakness, sleep disorders, stress, diseases, etc. By examining the importance of the relationship we have to ourselves, transformation and change, participants will gain insight into better relating to self on physical and mental levels, and how this relates to the others and natural world.
