Musculoskeletal Australia is coordinating the Victorian Active Ageing Partnership (VAAP), which is supported by the Victorian Government.

The VAAP aims to increase opportunities for participation in physical activity for older Victorians, especially in areas of socio-economic disadvantage and among isolated, lonely older people not currently involved in physical activity.

Program Name:
Victorian Active Ageing Partnership 2018 Forum – ‘Working well together: Promoting active ageing’

The Forum aims to improve the knowledge and capacity of relevant service providers to successfully engage older people in physical activity opportunities. The Forum will include a range of presentations, including some from service providers with case studies and ‘real life’ practice examples. Partnership and co-design approaches will be covered, as will strategies for working with older people with chronic health conditions. Tips for working with and motivating individual older people will also be discussed.
