Improve your broadband

A new scheme can help you improve your broadband connectivity. The Gigabit Broadband Voucher Scheme supports the cost of installing full fibre broadband connections direct to businesses for the fastest and most reliable broadband speeds available.  SMEs can claim up to £3,000 against the cost of full fibre connection, either individually or as part of a group project.
Business Rates discretionary relief consultation ends soon
The District Council is proposing to redirect a proportion of current discretionary relief to facilitate business growth and the creation of better quality jobs. The Council is consulting on two preferred options to provide such a fund.  Both options – to cap discretionary relief at either £5k or £10k - would see five larger charitable / not for profit organisations contributing an amount towards their bill, but in no case would an organisation be required to pay the full amount due.  We welcome the views of local businesses on this proposal - please complete the short online survey here
