Dear Friends and Supporters,

Welcome to this month's Newsletter! My name is Matthias Kroll, I am Chief Economist, Future Finance at the World Future Council and I have the honour of introducing you to this edition.

Why is our Future Finance work so important? Because we seek solutions to reform the financial and monetary system that build sustainable economies.
What does this mean in practice? Last month, we presented a solution to finance 100% Renewable Energies in Tanzania: Financial means of US$9 billion are needed annually for a successful energy transition. In our recent Policy Brief, we presented a model that outlines how to unlock this necessary investment to provide safe, clean, and affordable energy for all Tanzanian citizens by 2050 (and achieve SDG7). If you are curious, have a look at this publication!

Learn more about our Future Policy Award, Auma and Barack Obama opening a Youth Centre in Kenya, and German students standing up for sustainability in this Newsletter.
Best wishes, Dr Matthias Kroll
Chief Economist, Future Finance
