KEY SAFES:
A back door key has gone missing from within the key safe – possibly fallen out after being removed from the code pad/safe lid.
Please do not remove the key from the code pad to open the door.  Simply punch in the code, open the safe, use the key to open the door (with key still attached to the pad).  Replace the code pad/lid with the key attached, back onto the safe.
Same for the pottery shed door.  Thank you.

GENERAL INFORMATION:
For Redland Art Awards 2018 the primary award will be an acquisitive prize of $15,000.  There will also be runner up awards of $4,000 and a $2,500, as well as the Meredith Foxton People's Choice Award proudly sponsored by Redland Yurara Art Society Inc of $500.

Artists may enter up to three paintings for consideration. Of these three, however, only one painting per artist can be selected for final judging, if selected at all.

Entries must be received by close of business Monday 23 July 2018.

For entries to be considered they must be accompanied by the entry fee, a CV of not more than one page plus a brief statement about the paintings submitted (approximately 100 words). Please note that text provided may not be included in the final exhibition.
Size of entries must not exceed 2m (2000mm) in height.

Entry fees are as follows:
One entry: $35
Two entries: $60
Three entries: $90

Entry fees are non-refundable. Payment can be made by cheque, money order or credit card made payable to Redland Art Gallery. A receipt will be provided on successful payment for awards entry/s.

In the past apparently very few MIAC members entered this prestigious Redland Arts Awards, but it appears that this year we have a greater number of artists wanting to enter.  If you are planning on entering the awards and would like to consider sharing a vehicle to transport to the mainland venue, please enter your details on the register in the workshop.

Running Wild Children’s holiday program
Mudder’s program on the mudflats in front of MIAC last Thursday was an absolute hoot for the kids, and fun for us to watch.  They slid and slipped, rolled and ran through obstacles until completely covered in mud….. then proceeded back to our rear hose and shivered and shook while being hosed off.  Great, healthy, old fashioned fun for sure.
