Tequila Experience Sayulita-
An Experience Everyone Must Have! |
|
The Tequila Experience Sayulita first began in 2017, and now is a thriving professional tequila tasting service which arranges private tastings in Sayulita for any occasion for groups or even individuals. The Tequila Experience Sayulita is unique because it only uses high-quality, artisanal, 100% Blue Agave tequila produced from small, local manufacturers, so you get to taste tequilas that are not only rich and luxurious, but absolutely delicious! Geovani, the leader and owner of Tequila Experience Sayulita is incredibly friendly, fun, knowledgeable, and makes his guests feel comfortable and at ease.

LIVE, LOVE, & EAT in SAYULITA-
Recipe for Spatchcock Chicken |
|
SPATCHCOCK CHICKEN you say!? What does “spatchcock” mean to us home cooks?
"While the indirect grill and rotisserie methods are great for roasting a whole chicken, nothing can beat the flame-charred smokiness of chicken pieces grilled directly over a fire. There is a way to do this and I learned it in one of the world's most unlikely barbecue destinations: Paris. The technique is spatchcocking and it looks as theatrical as it sounds. You cut out the backbone and open the bird flat, like a book. This makes the whole chicken thin enough to grill directly over the fire." —Steven Raichlen, “How To Grill”

Sayulita Has Joined The Plastic-Free Movement! Shortly after news about the state of Jalisco and Punta de Mita banning the use of plastic bags in stores, on July 25th Terrenal Organic store in Sayulita announced that they will no longer supply or give out plastic bags to shoppers. Terrenal Organic store is one of the first grocery stores or tiendas in Sayulita to take on such an initiative to help reduce the use of plastic in order to protect our environment. Instead of carrying plastic bags, they will encourage their customers to BYOB (bring your own bag) and will provide paper and cardboard bags for the time being. In the near future, Terrenal Organic Store will also have their own reusable bags to provide to their customers. This is great news for Sayulita and a positive and inspirational example on behalf of our whole Pueblo. This is hopefully one small step forward in getting Sayulita closer to committing as a whole to ban the use of plastic in our community.

Sayuilta's Women's Soccer Team to the Semi-Finals! The Sayulita women's soccer league, which began about four years ago, has made it to the semi-finals! They will play in their semi-final game today, July 27th, at 5:30 in La Penita, and then play again against La Penita here in Sayulita on Sunday at 7:00 p.m. You may have noticed the new soccer field connected to the women's center built just off of highway 200, past the Pemex. The field is still being finished, but it is the home-base for the team to play and practice. The women on the team range in age from 15-30 years old, and are coached by Sayulita local, Freddy Navarro Gutierrez. Come support these amazing, strong women this weekend! Also, the team is looking for new players-- if you are interested, please contact Brenda Mendoza at Chachalaca Gallery in Sayulita (across from La Rustica).
