Hello everyone
With winter still upon is it certainly is warming to see such comely colours on our walls with these new works.
Fresh bursts of autumn in our recently acquired work from Jude Nye. Lyndy Wilson letting us reminisce a summer holiday view. Lively flowers of Julie Battisti and the inviting soft still canvases of Richard Adams.
Our artwork is a compilation of media, size, imagery and style. However this month seems to be quite thematic, a variant of 'rounds' and 'rectangles.'
Jody Hope Gibbons executing both formats confidently. For Annie Smits Sandano the round is a standard platform for her organically paterned assemblage. Florence Egasse's 'Luminous Blush' manipulating the format all together with obscured shapes and forms exceeding the rectangular canvas edge.
There is much anticipation around our big little art show running from the 2nd through to the 24th of August. Although there is some (positive) chaos around the influx of paintings here at the gallery, we are looking forward to the different dynamic 'little' works will lend our space.
Have a great month.
Yvonne, Diana, Tina and Michael
