Welcome back, family and friends. Can you believe it's August? This weekend is my hubby's family reunion right here in St. Louis, and I'll miss it. The theme is "Back to Our Roots" and I'm sure there will be some amazing African garbs. For me, it's Kansas City, here I come again for fun weekend with reader/friends. If you're in the area or have friends in the city, click on the banner at the end of the newsletter for more info.  I hope to see you there. Plus, I've packed this newsletter with a lot of book goodies.  First, I want to take a moment to reflect on the recent tragedy in my home state, four hours from St. Louis. Read my brief thoughts about what happened in Branson, Missouri The survivors and families will need our prayers for years to come.
Only a few days after the Branson tragedy, our family was in town to celebrate family. Here is Thomas, my husband's cousin, lighting candles around the fountain to remember those relatives who have passed away. I've included some July PHOTOS.

It doesn’t matter how many years go by, love will always find a way….
On the surface,
Brecee Carmen has nothing in common with Adrian Cole. She is a pediatrician certified in trauma care; he is a transportation problem-solver for a luxury car dealership (a.k.a., a car salesman). Despite their slow but steady attraction to each other, neither one of them is sure that they're compatible. To complicate matters, Brecee is the sole unattached Carmen daughter when it seems as though everyone else around her—family and friends—is finding love.
Through a series of discoveries, Adrian and
Brecee learn that things don't always happen by coincidence. Generational forces are at work, keeping promises, protecting family members, and perhaps even drawing Adrian back to the church he had strayed from. Is it possible that God has been playing matchmaker all along? **This is a re-release from @2015 Whitaker House Publishers**
Coming Soon!!! The 9th Installment in The Jamieson Legacy, The Guilty Generation. The stage is set for the guilty parties and Kami Jamieson is in the spotlight... or hot seat.  With many generations gathered in one place for game night, there are bound to be some surprises. Before the night is over, the elders will become the students, eager to learn about the challenges the thirteenth generation of descendants of a royal African tribe face. It’s going to take more than a board game or family lore to survive temptations that can only be overcome through fasting and prayer. Join the WAIT LIST.
This short video reminded me of a scene in my upcoming book, The Guilty Generation. Enjoy this as your August Inspiration for August!
There is nothing like a father's love. I'm sure Nevaeha will NEVER forget this day. As parents, we live for these priceless moments.
