2018 JETAA USA National Conference
Hosted by JETAARM & USJETAA
Who will be joining us in Denver, Colorado for the National Conference?
September 14-16, 2018

We are a little less than two months away from the JETAA USA National Conference hosted by USJETAA and JETAA Rocky Mountain in Denver, Colorado!! We invite two delegates from each JETAA chapter to attend. Typically, chapters send the President and Treasurer. However, it is up to the discretion of the individual chapter as to who will attend. We highly encourage “genki” alumni who plan to be in a leadership role in 2019 and beyond! This year's conference is focused on community building.

Deadline to sign up for National Conference is Friday, August 10th. If you have any questions in regards to registering delegates, please e-mail Monica Yuki at monica.yuki@jetaausa.com

Since the conference starts at 9am on Friday, we encourage delegates to take advantage of a FREE hotel room for Thursday night. You MUST register using the link below by Friday 8/10 to secure your attendance to NatCon and your hotel needs for the conference.

NatCon Schedule:

All mandatory events for delegates start Friday morning at 9am.

Nijikais after receptions are optional.

Thurs 9/13: Welcome Happy Hour starting at 6pm hosted by USJETAA
Frid 9/14: Conference 9am–6pm followed by an evening Reception hosted by MOFA
Sat 9/15: Conference 9am–6pm followed by an evening Reception hosted by CLAIR
Sun 9/16: Conference 9am to 12pm, followed by optional local activities

Helpful tips for booking your NatCon Flight

Arrive: Thursday, September 13th by 4pm (if your work schedule allows for it)
The informal welcome happy hour starts at 6pm and goes till last man standing. You can walk from the hotel to the venue. USJETAA will be treating us to a few snacks. We hope you can be there for the Kanpai! If vacation time allows for it, try to land in Denver by 4pm. If not, still try to fly in Thursday and we will see you Friday morning when the conference starts.

Depart: Sunday, September 27th after 3pm
The conference ends at 12pm but please allow for extra travel time to the airport and checking in. There will be optional local activities and more chapter networking if you can stay longer. JETAARM President has also offered a 2 day trip extension to get the full flavor of Colorado that you can add on NOT covered by JETAA. (more details on the website and in the sign up form)

Your hotel room has already been booked. We will assign roommates based on gender. You DO NOT need to contact the hotel since we have a dedicated person handling our large reservation.

FLIGHT TO DENVER, CO
Airport: DEN (Denver International Airport)

Contact your treasurer to find out the budget for your flight.

The airport is 1.5 hours via public transportation or 50+ min by car to the hotel. Please plan accordingly.

We'll be sending an e-mail to delegates in late August to collect your flight info so that we're able to coordinate rideshares & travel buddies to the hotel.

TRANSPORTATION TO HOTEL
We will share all delegates' travel information to coordinate ride sharing. Your Chapter GIA travel budget should cover this cost. Please confirm with your treasurer the budget and don’t forget to save your receipts!

Time: 1.5 hours
Cost: $9

Taxi: 45+ min travel time and estimated cost $60-$80+
Uber: 45+ min travel time and estimated cost $40-$60+
Airport Shuttle: 1 hour+ travel time and cost $25 per person https://booking.jayride.com

Omiyage
We ask all chapters to bring edible Omiyage that represents your local region to be shared with all delegates. Think inexpensive, small, and easy to share treats for 50 people. We will snack on these treats during our meeting break.
