JULIE LONG OAM - PRESIDENT OF THE CBCA ACT BRANCH
Hello everyone,

June and July turned out to be busier than I expected! The Romancing the Stars night is coming up soon and it will be wonderful to hear what some of our local story creators are working on or have recently had published. They each have different ways of organising their lives to find extra time to create and it is exciting to hear what will be appearing soon. The Christmas Book Appeal will be launched at the beginning of August and  if you wanted to bring a donation of a book/books to any of our events that would be fine. Then we will have the Awards Announcement at 11.30am in the Theatre at the National Library. There will be school children performing and so far seven local authors will be attending and doing book signings. Prior to the big announcement the Branch will  present our own award to a student from ACU.

I hope to see you at these upcoming events.

Julie Long   OAM
