Rabies found again
Another skunk with rabies has been found in Lakewood, this time near South Pierce Street and West Florida Avenue. A variety of wildlife have tested positive in Lakewood this summer for diseases that can be harmful to humans and pets, and it’s a reminder to keep vaccinations current, avoid contact with wild or stray animals and prevent your pets from roaming freely. If you think you or your pet have come into contact with a rabid or other infected animal, please contact your medical provider or your veterinarian. Learn more at Jeffco.us/2365.
